Sleep Linked to Slimmer Teens

A recent study from the University of Pennsylvania has added to evidence that weight gain and lack of sleep are correlated - in teens.

Researchers studied 1,000 Philadelphia-area students from their freshman through senior years of high school. Body mass indexes increased faster in the students who got less sleep. This relationship was exceptionally strong in students who were heavier at the beginning of the study.
