Kids need to unplug before heading to bed


According to a study conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average kid between ages 8- 18, spends nearly seven hours and 30 minutes using technology each day. That's more than 30 percent of the day communicating via smartphone, watching TV or surfing the Internet.

Dr. Lisa Meltzer, pediatric sleep specialist at National Jewish Health in Denver, stresses the importance of cutting technology out of children's sleep routines.
