Dozing off during business hours? You may want to ditch this habit, because work-time sleep consequences may be worse than a slap on the wrist.
According to a recent post on NYPost.com, bosses can fire employees for nearly any reason (or no reason at all), as long as it's not legally protested (such as race, religion, etc.). This means sneaking in a snooze at work could cost you your job.
If you can't resist some shuteye at the office, make sure to do it during lunch instead of business hours. Gregory Giangrande, chief HR officer at Time, Inc., also encourages nap-takers to shut the door during sleep time.
The best way to avoid mid-day dozing all together is to make good sleep a habit. Protect-A-Bed offers several products, including the Luxury Sleep Line, to help users create a healthy sleep zone within the home.
