Protect-A-Bed brings 40-plus pillows to High Point

HIGH POINT – Sleep accessories producer Protect-A-Bed is bringing dozens of new pillows to the market here.

The Chicago-based company is also showing its newly upgraded sleep technology, SleepTailor, in its 5,000-square-foot showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center, space M-633.

The new pillow offering features three new pillow lines, each with integrated cooling fabrics and five fill variations designed to deliver the specific support, comfort and adjustability each customer needs, officials said.

“By combining Protect-A-Bed’s expertise in a healthy bed with the latest sleep and material science, we are able to deliver the perfect combination of comfort and support for practically anyone, and further enhance the benefits of any mattress,” said John Rachid, president of Protect-A-Bed. “We are truly excited to share this innovative new line to our retailer partners attending High Point.”

With more than 40 pillow options, Protect-A-Bed is giving consumers many options to choose the pillow that will suit their needs best. And it is also giving retailers the tools to help consumers select their best pillow options.

“Creating the perfect pillow mix is only half of the equation,” noted Warrick Bell, vice president of product development at Protect-A-Bed. “The other half is ensuring that the right pillow gets to the customer. That is why we’ve integrated the new pillow line-up into SleepTailor.”

SleepTailor is Protect-A-Bed’s interactive in-store display that combines the user’s preferences for features and sleeping positions with image data. In real time, SleepTailor then combines these multiple data points using a proprietary algorithm and biomechanics model to recommend pillows that are tailored specifically to each user for proper alignment and preferences, officials said.

“Thanks to SleepTailor, a customer can feel confident he or she is choosing the right pillow,” James Bell, CEO of Protect-A-Bed said. “They don’t have to think about variables like height, density, and position, instead we take their information and offer the ideal solution. It truly removes the guesswork out of buying a pillow.”

The Protect-A-Bed showroom will also feature REM-Fit products and displays, including a line of REM-Fit mattresses, the newly debuted ZEEQ Smart Pillow series, and the growing REM-Fit Brand stores. Designed to boost incremental mattress sales by offering a proven alternative bed-in-a-box program to retailers, REM-Fit brand stores provide retailers with an opportunity to boost traffic and sales, officials said.
